Korea Dance Abroad
Island (17'59")
The dance film Island depicts the sense of relative isolation felt by modern people living in large cities. It was filmed in locations such as New York, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, it expresses the confusion and loneliness experienced by six dancers and a music artist through movement.
Island is a collaboration between the New York–based music project team 7000miles and the Korean nonprofit organization Korea Dance Abroad, which supports Korean dance artists’ overseas advancement.
